Duane Guidry

About me:

I have been married to my wife Diane since 2000 and have a stepson Joshua. I have lived in many places growing up due to my father being in the US Navy. I enjoy being in nature so my hobbies revolve around being outside. Hiking is my favorite activity. I attended both LSU and ULL where I received a BS in Petroleum Engineering with post graduate studies in management. I spent my 34+ year career in the oil and gas industry in many areas from chemistry, drilling, production, IT, finance, regulatory, forecasting and management .
I sought after wisdom my whole life looking for communion with God. Unfortunately for me, it was a long and arduous road filled with peaks, valleys and many wrong turns. There were periods in my life that I turned away from Christ and followed vain and sinful pursuits. He was always with me gently calling me back to Him. At other times, I shunned organized religion pursuing a more ascetic approach. By His grace, I have found the Way that He asks us to walk. Being part of Bibles and Beer was my epiphany and led me to freely share my faith with others. I am so blessed to be a part of this fellowship.
